The 2026 season: check the exact tour

Visit London lists 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 for the Christmas Lights London by Night bus tour, checked on 19 October 2026. This is a published season window, not proof that every date, departure or seating option is available on GetYourGuide.

Start by selecting your date on the Golden Tours booking page. If you are visiting at the start or end of the season, confirm that you are buying the Christmas lights product rather than a general London-by-night tour. A night tour may run beyond the festive period without following the same seasonal route.

Pick an evening that fits your plans

An earlier evening departure can make practical sense with children or an early dinner. A later departure may fit after sightseeing or a meal. These are scheduling choices, not a guarantee of lighter traffic or fewer people: there is no verified quietest slot in the evidence used for this guide.

The Golden Tours schedule lists departures into the evening from different stops. Use the live calendar for your chosen date, because a published timetable does not establish remaining seats. If Oxford Street matters to you, remember that the 4:15pm Victoria departure specifically excludes it.

Do not use a bus-tour date as a switch-on date

Different displays have their own schedules, and a tour’s operating season does not guarantee that every tree or decoration is illuminated on every night. The photographs on this website show previous displays. Treat named sights as the operator’s advertised route and check current information for any display that is the main reason for your visit.

Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and other holiday dates need particular care. We have not established a universal operating pattern across the nine compared tours. Check the exact calendar and travel arrangements rather than assuming that “daily” means every holiday date is offered.

Leave a buffer afterwards

Golden Tours advertises a 75–90-minute experience and notes that light traffic can shorten the run. Traffic and road closures can also affect the journey. Leave generous room between the tour and a show, dinner reservation or train. If your next commitment is fixed, consider choosing an earlier tour and using any spare time for a walk or warm drink afterwards.

Before confirming: review the date, departure stop, time, deck, passenger ages and cancellation deadline. Each of the nine inspected GetYourGuide listings advertised cancellation up to 24 hours in advance, but the terms displayed for your selected booking control your reservation.

See routes and departure points to choose a convenient starting area, or compare the 75-minute vintage ride with the 90-minute Lights & Bites tour.
